Director of Basketball - Tim Quinlan

Tim Quinlan joins Athlete Structure after serving as Assistant Coach for Drew University from 2020 – 2022.

During his time with Drew University, Quinlan helped lead the Rangers to two consecutive Landmark Conference Championships while capturing their first-ever Landmark Conference title with a thrilling overtime victory over the University of Scranton during the 20-21. Under Quinlan Drew went 25-11 and set a program record for most all-conference selections (six) while Howard McBurnie C’23 became only the second player in Drew history to be selected to All-Met and Malachi Walker C’21 was a repeat Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year selection.

Quinlan came to Drew after serving as a graduate assistant at Division I Columbia University for two years. He held multiple roles with the Ivy League institution, including player evaluation, on-court coaching, and budget management. In addition, Quinlan directed, managed, and promoted the program’s summer basketball camps. He earned a Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from Columbia in 2020.

In the summer of 2018 Quinlan worked as an assistant coach for USA East Coast Basketball during its trip to Italy. He also served as a coach for the Staten Island Diamonds AAU girls basketball team from 2016-18.

As an undergraduate, Quinlan was a four-year team member at Manhattanville College, where he served as a team captain for the Valiants during his junior and senior campaigns. He was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll twice and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
